Exosporium tiliae
Thierry Blondelle, 16-02-2026 18:34
Thierry BlondelleBonjour,

Thierry B

Re : Exosporium tiliae
In my experinece you can clearly see the long brown multiseptate conidiophores of Exosporium tiliae, compared to Helminthosporium oligosporum with short conidiophores and a very compact structure. So I think this is Helminthosporium oligosporum. The conidia are very variable in shape and size. I don't see anything that looks like a conidiophore on your pictures, except the short dark brown things on picture 2. I think all the rest are all conidia. However, there may be other possibilities on Tilia that I'm unware of.

Cheers Mathias

Hello Mathias,
You're right. Conidiophores of H. oligosporum are really shorter.
Thanks.
