Spore measured in water: 50 × 3 µm
When making a slide, orange strings containing many anamorphic spores emerged from beneath these craters.
Conidia measured in water: 6.7 - 7.5 × 1.6 - 1.9µm, Q = 3.6 - 4.6
Could this be the anamorph of K. idaei? We haven't found any anamorphs of Karstenia idaei in Ellis&Ellis or online.

I don`t think so. Look better in the vicinity of Valsa and Leucostoma.

the tiny black spots could be an Eutypella quaternata with its orange anamorph Libertella faginea.
Though the septate conidia look more like a Fusarium. Maybe another contamination...

Martin: The orange strands emerged from under the white perithecia when I poked them. We also initially thought it was Eutypella quaternata, which we've seen before, but we couldn't place it with the white discs.
