tiny black roughened spheres with long slender spores
Ethan Crenson, 27-06-2017 02:49
Found in Great Swamp in Central New Jersey, US on well rotted wood--probably hardwood. They are roughened black spheres growing in clusters on the surface of the wood. The largest fruiting bodies are about .5 mm wide. The asci are long with long, slender guttulate spores inside. Asci: 172-180um by 8-12um. Spores: 60-65um long by 4-5um wide. IKI+. Has anyone seen this before? Thank you in advance.
