Dear collegues,
during a research on teleomorphs of aquatic ascomycetes we came across this pyrenomycete today, on submerged log of Fagus.
The macrofoto is quite bad, sorry! But may be it is still a little bit helpful. The perithecia are single, black and nearly superficially seated, in small group but never toucing one another.
Spores multicellular, first hyaline than brown, becoming 8-celled, with an hyaline appendix (not always visible), appr. 90 x 18 µm
Asci bitunicate (?)
Anyone an idea?
Thank you very much,
Andreas
looks like Trematosphaeria hydrela.
Best wishes,

Hallo Gernot,
besten Dank!!
herzliche Grüße,

ja- Trematosphaeria hydrela. Gernot war schneller :-)
Nicht selten in Bächen, fand ich früher, als ich z.B. in Rhön und Rothaar-Gebirge an solchen Stellen suchte, häufiger.
LG Lothar
