Greenish asco on pine?
Mirek Gryc,

These grew on pine wood that was heavily covered in algae, which likely explains their greenish tint. The asci showed a negative reaction to iodine (IKI-). Unfortunately, I was unable to observe any croziers. Spores (9.8) 11.1 - 12.7 (12.9) × (3.4) 3.7 - 3.9 (4.7) µm.
Other characteristics are shown in the attached photos. Is it possible to identify them further based on this information?
Best regards,
Mirek

Bonjour Myrek ,
Did you consider an apothecia in Vezdaea ? (I am not sure but the septate spores as seen andsubstrate could match)
AMitiés. Michel

I consider the genus Coenogonium (former Dimerella).

Hallo,
agreement with Zotto,
Coenogonium pineti
omnipresent forest microlichen
hymenium should be amyloid

Re : Greenish asco on pine?
Dear both,
Michel's suggestion had already prompted me to look in a different direction. The familiar appearance of the paraphyses tips reminded me of a species I have microscoped before, namely Coenogonium pineti. However, the fruitbodies of this species that I've encountered so far were larger. I cannot be entirely certain, but Zotto's suggestion reinforces my suspicion that this is indeed the species. The spore size is also a good match.
Lately, I've had a knack for finding ascomata whose small size exceeds the capabilities of my microscopy equipment.
Thank you both very much for your interest and help.
Best regards,
Mirek

Re : Greenish asco on pine?
A brief follow-up to Zdenek's comment:
Unfortunately, I did not observe a blue iodine reaction in the hymenium, which was somewhat misleading. However, I have read that this reaction can be very fleeting, so it is possible that I was too slow with my observation.
Thank you all once again.

Re : Greenish asco on pine?
I think you will obtain a distinct blue reaction when you pretreat with KOH and add IKI after washing with water. The reaction of the outer ascus wall is hemiamyloid.
