Sad, Christian isn't among us anymore..

My first guess would be a Nectriacea (Cosmospora?).

the brownish spores are foreign spores.
But the small hyaline conidia fit to the synnemata.

see your point - slightly strange that all conidiomata are equally and uniformly coloured by the contaminant spores

Hi Thomas,

That is difficult to say, but if you found germinating spores, than it possibly that you have the anamorphic and teleomorphic fungus.
Or these are only foreign spores.
But i agree it's really strange that all synnemata has these spores.
