Yesterday I found a fungus on or near a needle, about 5 mm high. It is yellowish when fresh, later brownish with hairy and longitudinally whitish fibers. The spores are on average 16.2 x 6.1 microns. IKI+
Thanks in advance and best regards!

Re : Hymenoscyphus sp?
You don't have it fresh for microscopy? The insertion of the stipe cannot be clarified?
My guess is a Rutstroemia, although the excipulum looks rather hyaline. Good would be to see the shape of the amyloid ring, also the contents of the living paraphyses.

Re : Hymenoscyphus sp?
Thanks for the quick reply.
The stipe is centrally inserted and gradually expands into the disc, without a distinct margin between the stipe and the hymenial surface.
I am attaching photos of the paraphyses in water and of the apical ring – slightly enlarged. The specimen was fresh, but not in perfect condition.

Re : Hymenoscyphus sp?
The paraphysis is dead but the apical ring is perfectly sclerotiniaceous. A possibility would be Rutstroemia luteovirescens on Acer petioles.
