Help with some conidia.
Josep Torres, 18-07-2025 23:03
Josep TorresHello.
Fruitings between 51 and 130 microns in total height, appearing on the surface of a trunk of, most likely, Ficus retusa, sharing space with some specimens of Physalacria sp., located in a garden area in Bávaro (Dominican Republic).
Thick-walled, heavily pigmented conidiogenous hyphae.
Conidia are ellipsoidal to slightly moriform, lightly pigmented, with two transverse septa and a few longitudinal septa, giving it a 4- to 6-celled appearance, with a tiny additional cell at one end, which I assume must be where it has detached from the conidiogenous hyphae.
These conidia, obtained naturally and in water, measure:
(14.6) 16.7 - 20.2 (21.5) × (9.5) 10.2 - 12.9 (13.7) µm
Q = (1.4) 1.5 - 1.7 (1.9) ; N = 40
Me = 18.6 × 11.5 µm ; Qe = 1.6
I'm absolutely certain I've seen this before, but no matter how hard I search, I can't find anything similar.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.
Best regards.

Re : Help with some conidia.
I've been doing some research, and I think it might be Acrodictys, or maybe Junewangia. I'm not sure I'm on the right track.
Best regards.
