Olla aff. millepunctata (croziers +) on Rubus idaeus
Gernot Friebes, 14-07-2025 15:52
Hi,

I wanted to share this collection on Rubus idaeus because it differs from typical O. millepunctata by the presence of croziers. The ascospores are around 6.2-8.9 x 1.5-2.1 µm.
There seems to be some correlation between the host (Rubus idaeus) and the presence of croziers. Do you know if croziers are always present in collections on Rubus?

Best wishes,
Gernot

The type was on Senecio fuchsii from Belgium (Ardennes) and has simple septa (HB 8918).

Besides two samples in my Rubus folder I have four further ones in which I saw croziers. So we have 7x croziers on Rubus and never simple septa.

Thanks again, Zotto. It seems to be a consistent character then.

Best wishes,
Gernot
