Black ascomata (apothecia?) on Salix in alpine habitat
Edvin Johannesen, 08-06-2025 14:55
Edvin JohannesenAscomata only ca. 1 mm, erumpent on very thin Salix twig, cq. 1100 m asl in Western Norway, near melting snow. Asci clavate.  Ascospores hyaline, unicellular, eliipsoid to broadly allantoid, ca. 8-10 x 3-4 µm.  IKI reaction not yest tested due to limited material.  Are we in Tympanidaceae? Photos in KOH (dried material).  Opinions appreciated.  Thanks.
