Another anamorph in Rubus spp.
Josep Torres, 21-05-2025 08:31
Josep TorresReddish-brown, grain-like ascomata, measuring 0.7–0.8 × 0.4–0.6 mm, sprouting in a scattered manner on decomposing Rubus spp. stems.
I have not been able to clearly observe conidiogenesis, although these conidiogenous hyphae do seem to be visible in some of the images, just a few conidia that remind me of genera such as Fusarium or related species, with measurements in water of:
(6.6) 6.7–7.9 (8) × (1.5) 1.7–2.1 (2.3) µm
Q = (3.1) 3.5–4.2 (4.5) ; N = 40
Me = 7.3 × 1.9 µm; Qe = 3.8
Any feedback is welcome.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards.

Pycnidial or acervular?

Hi Luc.
It clearly looks like acervulus. I'm adding an image of the section at 100x magnification; it's completely superficial.
Best regards.

Re : Another anamorph in Rubus spp.
Thank you both very much.
I'm leaving the folder as Sclerotiopsis aff. rubi for now. While the leaves are true, I don't think I'll find a better option. Even the conidia measurements are a perfect match.
Best regards.
