spores dark, subcitriform, ca. 6.2 x 3.9 µm, asci 8-sporede, quickly dissolving, with spores in a dark column - Chaetomium-style. Ascomata tiny; peridium thin, palel with very long, pointy setae

Not with certainty but some spores have tiny papilla each end suggesting a biporous situation.

It is certainly not the species and according to Guarro et al (20122: 53) there is no species with such narrow spores. The species is pictured here.
I would consider Kernia. Key in Doveri 2004
I'm working on an article on the Microascaceae on manure and am looking for the article on Lophotrichus (see above)

The ascospores have a greenish colour. Perhaps a species of Chaetomium?

Maybe - I have never seen Chaetomium with such tiny ascomata, but I also no longer have a strong belief in Lophotrichum as the correct generic home but I likewise cannot find a match in Kernia.

Despite searching I haven't found a genre that really matches either. I am not also thinking of Kernia or Lophotrichum. There are Chaetomium species that have not yet been described, but perhaps more details are needed to be truly sure of this very complex genus.

The first question is whether the fruiting body has an ostolium or not. If it's a Chleistotecium it could be Kernia. Based on your spore measurements and hair, it could be Kernia setadispersa
Here from my key that I'm currently creating.
Ascomata covered with 10–30 more or less flexible black hairs, spores ovoid, with a germ pore, 5-6 x 3.5-4.5 µm

Ok, then good luck searching in the genus, or rather in the genera, that are being presented today by Wang et al. By the way, it should no longer make any difference whether cleistothecium or perithecium. The genus Chaetomidium has virtually been crushed.Sometimes it's not fun anymore. Cheers Peter

It could be a Chaetomium. You could try my key. See adriancartermycology.ca (Chaetomoum thiseis). It's best if you can get it culture.
