spores mostly 11x 7 µm, but very variable, and asci not always with 8 spores. Slightly roughened walls, non-constricted, 2-celled, hyaline. KOH negative (or slightly pinkish under LM). Surface white bristly hairy; hairs widened at the tips. Outer exc. of very thick-walled,clavate cells. Apparently gathered on some stroma -nothing underneath in section

Hi Thomas,
it could be a species of Fusicolla but you should check it the ascomata change of colour in lactic acid, which become bright yellow to orange in this reagent.

If there is no change in colour, maybe you should consider the genus Nectriopsis.
