Peziza boltonii with croziers?

Hello,I was given a nice collection of dark purple Peziza growing in sand and gravel, on construction site. All characters fit P. boltonii except for pleurorhynchous base. Benkert and Pancorbo & Ribes published it with aporhynchous. Is there any other similar species or is it variable character?

Hi Tori,
I will not help you with this Peziza, just would like to remind that I noticed a similar thing in Lepidotia hispida - collection studied by me had croziers, while collection published by Van Vooren et al. 2015 didn't. Hopefully sequencing of the Czech specimen will be successful to see whether there are differences or not.
