Apothecia not reddening, excipulum from cells of textuta angularis, cells 12(14)-19(20) x 9-10(12) um. Asci IKI-, 100-115 x 8,5-9,5 um. Spores fusoid, hyaline, OCI=2-3 (?), 15-20 X (3,3)3,6-5,1(5,2) um, Q=3,5-4,5, Q(av)=4, N=25. On Fagus wood in forrest type Fagion. Preparate in deluted lugol solution.

Hi Patrick
this is typical P. epiphyllum (= Hymenosc. epiphyllus).
Important are the multiguttulate paraphyses for delimitation against P. monticola. They are the only living cells on your photos. It is not good to make the general preparation in Lugol, only at the end you can add it for the amyloidity. The spore oil content is importnat too, and it is a bit distorted on your photos.

H. epipyhhlus may occur with inamyloid asci, but usually ithas an amyloid ring - genetically both are identical
