orange propolis-like on rotten wood
M Jonathan, 24-04-2017 20:47
M Jonathancollected on rotten hardwood, collected the 23 April 2017 in Ottawa ontario

erumpent, orange, with a darker margin, spore uniseriate to biseriate in the ascus, ascus inamyloid in melzer, croziers not observed, but that does not mean that they are lacking.

spore are aseptate, smooth and with usually 2 or 3 guttula, spore measure 27-32µ*7.5-9µ and are hyaline, sometime germinate in ascus. Paraphyse thin, with granulation on top.

anyone have an Idea? unfortunatly the Cubby link I use for Barral photo collection do not seem to work anymore.

Hi Jonathan
my folders are in invivoveritas.de, click on ascomycetes illustrations

Your Propolis seems to be farinosus (= versicolor), the hymenial colour should be due to senescence.

Thank you, wouldn't of expected them to be this orange when overmature.
