Lirellate fungus
Lepista Zacarias, 27-12-2016 23:14

I have the feeling of deja vu about this fungus, not that I found it before but certainly I saw photos of this (or similar) species (maybe here at AscoFrance). It grew side by side, on calcareous rock, with a lirellate lichen of the genus Opegrapha. Any hint where to look for?
Thanks in advance,
zaca

Hi Zacarias,

Without microscopical informations, it's really almost impossible, unfortunately.

Hi Alain,
Thanks for your comment. I thought it would be easy.
I intend to do the microscopy, though it is not possible now.
Best regards,
zaca

Re : Lirellate fungus
I think to had solved the "mistery" about this lirellate fungus, indeed a lichen. As mentioned in my first message this specimen lived side by side with a Opegrapha, which after microscopy I identified as O. mougeotii, now called Alyxoria mougeotii. The thallus and the lirellae of this specimen didn't look similar; the thallus seeming to be desintegrating and the lirellae with a golden hue. The spores, most of which were shriveled in the asci, are also different from that one, but is Opegrapha as well. I attach some photos.

I wish a very good new year to all the participants in this forum,
zaca
