Dothideomycete
Merci beaucoup d'avance,

Andrés Valverde Valera

Re : Dothideomycete
Hi,

could you elaborate a bit on the form of the ascomata? Is it possible that they grow on old stromata of Hypoxylon?

Best wishes,
Gernot

You think at Immotthia, Gernot, right ?

Re : Dothideomycete
Hi Gernot,

I prefer to send to you a picture that I have just took under the microscope of these ascomata, that are tuber-form, distributed especially in the periphery of the fruiting bodies.

At first I thank in Hypoxylon serpens, for the shape of the mushroom, but I haven't found spores like those of Hypoxylon. Although I have to say that I have found an another kind of spores while searching the asci, that I attach in the second picture.

Best whishes,
Andrés

Re : Dothideomycete
Hi Andrés,

yes, that looks very much like Immotthia atrograna on Hypoxylon sp. On your last photo you show the conidia of this species.

Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Dothideomycete
Thanks you so much Alain and Gernot!!!

I've seen the subject "sur hypoxylon / 2. pyreno noir" and I also think that I have found the anamorphe (Sphaeropsis parasitans) but I will write only Immothia atrograna bescause I understand that they are their conidia.

Thank you very much for your help! Without you I would never have determined this species. Muchas gracias!!
