Trochila sur Andromeda
Elisabeth Stöckli,
14-05-2016 10:57
Merci.

Re : Trochila sur Andromeda
Interesting! Are there only 3 small apothecia?
There is an Eupropolella vaccinii.
Described in Kurkela 1974, Karstenia 14: 97-101
and in
Müller 1957, Sydowia 11: 130-132
The latter shows allantoid septate spores 14-17 x 3-4
The species was reported by Dennis 1978 on Andromeda.
Difficult to say as Müller's description is in the dead state.
The Kurkela paper I cannot find.

Re : Trochila sur Andromeda
I was stupid, it is a Micropeziza! Maybe M. fenniae comes close to this, but yours has longer spores.

Hi Elisabeth,
as Zotto said, it is in fact a Micropeziza. Was it possible to send me fresh specimen? I'm very interested!
Best, Uwe

Re : Trochila sur Andromeda
A similar taxon was twice collected on stems of Vaccinium in Lapland and England and is also without a name so far. But the spores are broader: *14-17.5 x 5-5.5 µm.
