Peziza

Malcolm GreavesThis Peziza was found on general rotting debris in my compost heap.
Apothecia 4cm mid brown with almost no stalk.
The ascii (280 x 13) were blued at the top but there was also some bluing towards the base.
The spores were smooth and 14.5 x 9.2-10.4µ.
The paraphyses septate, filiform with slightly clavate heads.
The excipulum with glosbose elements also had a very small number of outgrowths.
Could anyone suggest which species it might be.
Thanks
Mal

Re : Peziza
Thanks Nicholas
I had rejected that species because the key I used suggested that the paraphyses of P varia had swollen segments along its length.
