Today i found a nice fungus on a rotten wood, with spores that look like truffle Spores.
The spores have a size of ca. 40 micrometer in diameter.
I have no idea what it is and hope you can help me.
thanks in advance,
Thorben

Re : Anamorphe ? Fungus on rotten Wood
Hi Thorben..
Those large spores may be zygosporangia of Mucor or some other zygomycete. The broad phyphae and clavate hyphal tip also look like a zygomycete. The large hairy thing might be an immature perithecium of a species of Chaetomium. On the other hand, if the spores really came from inside the hairy thing I have no idea.
