Otidea 130814 138
Miguel Ángel Ribes, 19-08-2014 13:02
Miguel Ãngel RibesGood morning

I have this Otidea in Fagus sylvatica, small-medium size, without pink color ¿?, asci with croziers and spore type III (slightly fusiform), (14.7) 15.1 - 16.7 (18.1) x (7.1) 7.4 - 8.3 (8.8) µm; Q = (1.8) 1.9 - 2.16 (2.2) ; N = 126; Me = 16.0 x 7.8 µm ; Qe = 2.0.

With Nicolas key I get O. caligata (but spores are bigger, 17-20 x 10-11) or "O. boudieri" (but spores are more bigger, 21-24 x 9-11). With Jamoni key I get O. grandis (but I think macro is different). And only with macro characters I thik it is O. alutacea, but spores must be type II.

Could you help me, please?

Re : Otidea 130814 138
hello miguel,

to me this would be perfect o. alutacea. i think the slightly fusoid spore-shape is okay ...

best
