Can anyone help me with this species?
Substrate: On dead, hanging Picea abies twig
Macro: Apothecia sessile, completely covered with a nearly black cuticle when young, tearing up and exposing the greyish disc. Discs mostly 2-3 mm in diam.
Micro: Asci club-shaped, 155-175 x 20-25 µm. Paraphyses cylindric, filiform, about 2 µm diam. Spores extremely thick-walled (or with a persistent slime sheath?), usually 34-45 x 10-12.5 µm. Outer shape broadly fusiform. Excipulum (cuticular layer) consisting of very strongly dark-brown pigmented, angular or rounded cells.
Thank you for any comments
Stefan
Triblidiopsis pinastri (also Tryblidiopsis)
(despite the name only on Picea).
