Melanomma subdispersum
Alain GARDIENNET, 07-03-2013 07:58
Alain GARDIENNETBonjour,

Quelqu'un parmi vous connait-il bien Melanomma subdispersum ?
Does somebody well know Melanomma subdispersum ?

Ce champignon est donné usuellement  sur Betula, mais a déjà été observé aussi sur Sorbus.

Les spores que je vous montre sont celles d'une récolte personnelle sur Sorbus aria. Elles mesurent 22-26 x 8-10 µm. Reconnaissez-vous Melanomma subdispersum ?

Re : Melanomma subdispersum
Hi Alain,

I need the macroscopical appearance to say something :)

The spores does not look like those from M. subdispersum, but from Hysterium pulicare.

You should also compare with my finding on Funghiparadise (M. subdispersum and H. pulicare).

regards,
björn

Re : Melanomma subdispersum
Hi Bjorn,

It isn't Hysterium pulicare (that I have seen many dozen of times, indeed) . It's a Melanomma species, ascomata are subglobulose.
It's very probably M. subdispersum but I just would like the opinion of a body who has already worked it. The ascospores are perhaps slightly different, I don't know (and substrate is not Betula).
Thanks,
Alain

Hi Alain,

compared with my finding on Betula, with only slightly 2-coloured spores, I do not think that your collection is M. subdispersum.

björn

Re : Melanomma subdispersum
Hi Björn,
It was my opinion. I suppose that your ascospores are more constricted, especially at primary septum ?

It could be another species. But which one ?
