Xylaria liquidambar is treated as "orthographic variant" by MycoBank, and "Xylaria liquidambaris" is applied.
liquidambar is a noun in apposition (Art. 23.5), isn't it?
Which is correct liquidambar or liquidambaris?

you ar right, the correction from liquidambaris to liquidambar was confirmed by Rogers himself in Ju et al. 2018.
