White Orbilia with allantoid spores
Marc Detollenaere, 28-03-2026 07:55
Marc DetollenaereHello everybody,

Yesterday I found a number of whitish Orbilia on rotten wood of Populus.
Paraphyses were capitate and the spores allantoid 3.5-4x1µ.
Any suggestions?

Marc

I guess it is O. epipora, but please compare our treatment of that species.

Thank you very much Hans-Otto.
I'll make some cross-sections of the ectal excipulum and will try to visualize the anchoring hyphae and the Dactylella-like conidia
