I found this mystery Helotiales on an incubated leaf (originally found in a stream).

iNat link for photos: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/335426786

Spores: 12.76–14.5 × 2.2–3.08 µm
Asci 8-spored, IKI+ bb

Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks!

Re : unidentified Helotiales on a leaf
well. Hyaloscyphaceae in the strict sense is not impossible. That's my best shot I suppose. The combination of excipulum and multiseptate hairs is unusual. You should really try get these growing on malt-agar or similar with these really neat photos and all.

cheers
Timo

Thank you Timo. Usually I send my specimens for sequencing, but I only had one specimen of this species. I will try to find more!
