Calycina on Betula leaves

Asci with croziers, IKI+(bb). Paraphyses cylindrical, with a long VB. I looked at a whole, upturned apo and there were indeed some very short hairs to be found, also with VBs. The spores measure 9.6 - 14.6 × 2.7 - 3.1 µm.
So I'm now pretty sure this is a Calycina. Could Calycina populina fit? Does it grow also on Betula leaves?

Re : Calycina on Betula leaves
Dear Juuso,
To my idea it is a Calycellina.
Look in old article Lowen and Dumont, i am at carwash
Cheers,
Stip

Yes, Calycina populina is a good idea, C. rubescens would be another. The delimitation appears to me not really sharp.

Re : Calycina on Betula leaves
Hi, thanks for the opinion and tip. I found the abstract for Taxonomy and Nomenclature in the Genus Calycellina (Hyaloscyphaceae), and there was a Calycellina populina mentioned there. If this is what you mean, it apparently is a synonym of Calycina populina. Index fungorum and Mycobank apparently disagree on what is the current name...

Re : Calycina on Betula leaves
Yes, this was all earlier Calycellina, but that was apparently based on the belief that leaves as substrate have Calycellinas rather than Calycinas. DNA showed that populina is a Calycina.

Re : Calycina on Betula leaves
Ah ok. Of these species, Calycellina populina is the only one included in the local species list, but I'll have to think which one to label this as :).
