Hi to everybodyThese thiny, blackish pseudothecia
Hi, this fall around Ottawa, ON, Canada I found a few Calycina species that I couldn't identify or uncertain with id. If someone is familiar with these species and could help, I will be very appreciative.#1348 - Calycina alni-viridis? - on Populus twig (https://inaturalist.org/observations/101297805);
#1338 - Calycina subparilis? - on hardwood log (https://inaturalist.org/observations/101035601);
#1243 - Calycina scolochloae -on Phragmites australis. I almost certain, but I couldn't find any report from North America (https://inaturalist.org/observations/97930955);
#1124 - Calycina sp.? - on herbaceous stems (https://inaturalist.org/observations/93768577).
Thank you,
Igor
I emailed you the pictures.
Regards,
Igor
Calycina alni-viridis specimen was found covered by fallen leaves and we had freezing temperatures during the nights, so it could explain the lack of bright yellow color.
Did you mean C. parilis or C. subparilis? My specimen is lacking croziers and I see you saved it to C. subparilis folder.
Regards,
Igor
