I found a collection of small white mushrooms on top of a rotten stump of beech or oak. I think it is Lachnum impudicum, but I can not find any croziers. Could be croziers be present or could it be another species?
Description: Stalks and cups with short white hairs; cups 1-1.5 mm, white or light brown, the edge folds up, often into a triangle. Stalk a little brighter than cup. Ascospores: Fusiform, length 5.2-7.4 (6.4 µm), width 1.7-2.0 (1.8 µm), light inclusion at the thick end. Asci: 40 x 3-3.5 µm, 8 spores. Paraphyses: Narrow lanceolate up to 10 µm over the asci, with Lugol yellow droplets converging in the middle of the cells. The hairs are cylindrical, granulated, less than 60 µm in length, 3-3.5 µm in diameter.
I am a beginner in this field and would appreciate any identification hints.

I think this is L. impudicum. The long apo stalk, and especially the spore shape fit well.
But in the dead state Lachnum is difficult to study.
I assume croziers are present, but i did not see an ascus base.

Thank you for the confirmation and your time. I kept the sample in a freezer prior to microscopic examination. Could this be a problem? It was difficult to find separate asci that were complete. I only found several hyphal structure that were conspicuous (marked with red boxes). If you have the time please have a look.

I think most of your pics refer to paraphyses. One shows a nice anastomosis which does not occur between ascogenous hyphae. In one pic it looks like a simple-septate ascus base.
In think it is more the way of preparation than the freezer. Even frost is no problem for L. impudicum. Don't press on the cover slip or only very slightly. Try to take parts of the hymenium by a needle. Use water as medium and bright fiels instead of phase. And use well-looking apothecia.
