I collected the samples from the wood of a fallen pine (Pinus pinaster) in Serra de Sintra, Portugal. It seems to me that the specimens were immature, since I was not able to see any spores. I made the microscopy using cotton blue in lactic acid and saw the asci and paraphyses. However, I also observed some roundish balls that I could not identify (center of the photo).
Is it possible to say anything valuable about the species?

Hello Zaca,
it looks a lot like O. xanthostima - the macroscopical appearance as well as the very small reniform spores.

Hi Lothar,
While you reply I was trying again to se the spores, this time with more success. I attach a file where the reniform form you mentioned is patent. I try to measure one and got 5 x 2 microns.
I think you gave the solution to the species.

Hello Zaca,
I meant to see (blue) reniform spores at your picture - but I think I was wrong. Your new picture does not show reniform spores. So it cannot be O. xanthostima, but maybe a form of what earlier was called coccinella. I am not a specialist for this, and so I fear, Zotto will have to help ...

You were right Lothar, the pdfs clearly show the reniform, cashew-shaped spores, and even their rough-warted wall can be imagined with some good will.
The free spores obviously do not belong to the fungus.
