Calycellina?
Juuso Äikäs, 12-10-2020 15:06
I found these growing on a dead herbacious stem. It can probably be seen from the pic that these are really tiny.

Spores:

(13) 13.8 - 17.7 (17.8) × (3.4) 3.6 - 4.3 (4.7) µm
Q = (3.4) 3.6 - 4.26 (4.3) ; N = 10
Me = 16.2 × 4.1 µm ; Qe = 4

Could this be a Calycellina sp. or something close to that?

Re : Calycellina?
This is an Allophylaria, and I consider it A. byssacea - described on monocots by Karsten, but obviously also frequent on dicots.

Ok, that's interesting! I found your folder and this appears to be quite similar. Also, there are some Karsten's collections to be found online from around 150 years ago or so (regrettably without microphotos... .. .). Thanks once again!

karsten's holotype I have studied in 1998: Allophylaria byssacea, HB 6194.JPG, see folder for monocots.
