Trichophaeopsis
Juuso Äikäs, 05-10-2020 19:10
In this place I have seen lots of these growing during the previous couple falls. The substrate is fallen branches and litter or Populus tremula. I assumed that they were T. bicuspis, but apparently that species' spores should have some oil drops. I found some previous discussions here and a couple findings that also lacked the drops, but had bigger spores.

Spores (freshly ejected in water):

15.4 - 15.9 × 10.4 - 11 µm
Q = (1.4) 1.45 - 1.5 ; N = 5
Me = 15.7 × 10.6 µm ; Qe = 1.5

Re : Trichophaeopsis
I don`t remember all details but I remember I found T. bicuspis sometimes in large amounts in leaves of Populus.
Best, Lothar

Re : Trichophaeopsis
Yeah the substrate would be typical, but if I understood correctly, they must have the oil drops.
