Black on Picea branch
Juuso Äikäs, 15-06-2020 16:04
There was a thin branch of Picea abies that had fallen into a little forest stream with only little water at the moment. It had these black fungi growing on it.

The microscopy looks rather distinctive. Paraphyses thin and cylindrical, plenty of crystals in the excipulum. I measured a couple free spores and they were around 35 x 10 microns.

I've no idea what these are. Do you?

Re : Black on Picea branch
It looks like Tryblidiopsis pinastri to me.

Best wishes,
Gernot

Yes, that seems to fit well -- thank you!
