Psilachnum inquilinum?
Juuso Äikäs, 04-06-2020 00:44
These I found from a dead Equisetum stem in a moist groove in Picea abies dominated forest. While looking at them with a hand lens I thought they were Lachnums but the microscopy seems different. I think they were with croziers but am not sure.

Spores:
(7.1) 7.7 - 9.2 (9.3) × (1.9) 2.1 - 2.5 (2.6) µm
Q = (3.1) 3.3 - 4.2 (4.4) ; N = 10
Me = 8.2 × 2.2 µm ; Qe = 3.7

Re : Psilachnum inquilinum?
Yes. I think it is typical P. inquilinum. On E. hyemale exists a larger-spored species, but you seem to have have another substrate.

Re : Psilachnum inquilinum?
Thanks for the conformation and info, I'll have to keep that species in mind. The substrate was a rather small Equisetum. I googled E. hyemale and that one is apparently quite large and tough.
