Hello,
Found by Laurens van der Linde, 13-04-2020, on Ilex leaf.
I think it's Pyrenochaeta nobilis var. ilicis, but a confirmation would be very nice (important for the Dutch website Waarneming.nl).
- Microfungi on Land Plants page 148, fig. 648: "pycnidia erumpent up to 0.8 mm diam. brown to black, setose. Setae around ostiole, tapered, septate, dark brown up to 250 x 10 Conidia hyaline 7-9 x 1-1.5, on dead leaves".
- W.B. Grove, British Stem- and Leaf-Fungi 1, 1935, page 152: "pycnidia 250-500 µm, bristles 200-400 µm, spores 6-7 x 1-2".
Conidia: 7.3-7.4 x 1.4-1.6 µm Setae: up to 548 µm
Pycnidia: 225-338 µm
Greetings, Riet
