Found in New York City on decorticated hardwood.  Tiny, translucent white, stalkless cups with short fine hairs at the margin.  The fruiting bodies measure about .25-.5mm in diameter.  Asci are IKI+, 33-35 by 5-6 µm.  Spores ellipsoid, 7-10 by 2-3 (4) µm.  Paraphyses with rounded ends, about 2.5µm wide.  Hairs septate (unfortunately I don't have measurements).  Excipulum textura angularis.  Any help would be appreciated.

Is the substratum Quercus by any chance? ...yeah, i couldn't really see the hairs in the photos, but spores would atleast fit to Hyaloscypha daedalea. If you get to observe marginal hairs in water you might observe some loose granules on the hair surface. They are not always there. Hairs should be tapering. And max one septa, not multiseptate. And thin walled all the way - or then you have something else...

Timo, the substrate may be Quercus, but it is difficult to be certain.  Unfortunately the material is no longer available to me, but I will return to the collection location this weekend to try to find more.  I was under the impression that my fifth photo showed a cluster of marginal hairs, but I defer to those more experienced than me.
