Nectriopsis candicans (?)
Jan-Arne Mentken,

some days ago I found this asco on Fuligo septica. First I thought it was a Hypocrea, but when I saw the septate spores I came to the genus Nectriopsis. On Cybertruffle I found interesting literature and with the help of 'The Myxomyceticolous Species of Nectria' (1973) and 'Myxemyceticolous Fungi' (1993) i got a name: Nectriopsis candicans (= Nectria candicans). Especially the paper from 1973 had really helpful illustrations. Now I'd like to ask if anyone knows this species and can tell me if i'm possibly wrong. The pictures show the spores (smooth, septate / (5,76-)6,48(-7,22) x (1,75-)1,99(2,18) µm, Q = 3,26 / with almost rectangular ends), the spinulose hyphae and spores in the ascus. Unfortunately I can't really see neither illustrate the ends of the spores in the ascus. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!
Jan-Arne

Re : Nectriopsis candicans (?)
Dear Jan-Arne,
This paper would be useful to me, because today, I collected one white Nectriopsis (like) on Fuligo septica. Just incredible.
