Re : Rustroemia ?
Nono, scutuloid spores! Hymenoscyphus fraxineus, the epidemic.
Look the blackened substrate, surely petiole of Fraxinus.

Re : Rustroemia ?
Hi,
this would be the first record from Spain to my knowledge. But I don't see croziers...
What are the geographical data ? H. albidus we know from Pais Vasco only.

Regards Martin

Re : Rustroemia ?
You are right Martin, I was sleeping yesterday.... Indeed it is H. albidus, and we know of no other samples than smoe from Pais Vasco. So where did you collect, Javier?

Re : Rustroemia ?
Hello,
I'd like to ask about the 4th image - aren't those two septa on the ascus base? Or is it just wrinkled / damaged after being torn from ascogenous hyphae? (I'm not saying anyone is wrong, just learning how to interpret what I see.)

Re : Rustroemia ?
I think the third image shows quite clearly a simple-septate base, also the fifth image suggests this. But one must be cautious, croziers may be hidden if not shown in side view.

Re : Rustroemia ?
Ah, it's in the eastern Pyrenees. If you have coordinates (or direction from Abella) and the date I would note that.
