My apologies for taking so long to sequence this specimen, but I have good news! The LSU and B-tubulin sequences were successful and they come out in the Helminthosphaeriaceae. Your specimen is Hilberina rhynchospora.
Please see our paper here: http://wwx.inhs.illinois.edu/files/5714/0191/3047/Helminthosphaeriaceae_Miller_et_al_Mycologia2014.pdf
I have Larissa's type specimen here of Lasiosphaeria angustispora and I will examine it over the holidays and compare it to your material, but I am sure that this is H. rhynchospora.
We found this species a few years ago here:
France, Limousin, Department of Haute-Vienne, Roussac, banks of La Crouze river, 46.08N, 300 m elev., 22-April-2011, A.N. Miller, S. M. Huhndorf, J. Fournier, A. Brissard
Ours was the second find (other than the type specimen) so yours is the 3rd time this species has ever been found! Excellent discovery!
Best,
Andy
