Re : Mollisia ? Tapesia? Pyrenopeziza?

Hello,

to me it doesn't look like Mollisia/Pyrenopeziza on first glance - but one never knows without microscopy.

Do you have microscopical details?

best regards,
Andreas

Cloud forests are quite far away from my experience so it will be difficult to say something. But for me this looks like an encoelioid fungus, maybe related to Unguiculariopsis. Are there any hairs on the outside?

I can hardly believe that the asci are amyloid. Do you have a photo?

These protruding end cells need to be taken at high magnification, they seem to be thick-walled, or?

You don't have Lugol instead of MLZ?

Re : Mollisia ? Tapesia? Pyrenopeziza?
Lugol gives more reliable results, some species react red, then Melzer gives nothing.

Please take oil immersion also for ascus amyloidity.
