Endoxyla - Ceratostomella
Hans-Otto Baral,

HiDoes anybody know what is the current name, Endoxyla cirrhosa or Ceratostomella cirrhosa? The same for E./C. ampullasca.
From the abstract of Untereiner's paper (A taxonomic revision of Endoxyla, Mycologia 85: 294-310, 1993) I suppose that Ceratostomella is the pesently accepted genus for these species?
I don´t have this paper, does someone have a pdf?
I also saw in Species fungorum that ampullasca is said to be synonymous with cirrhosa. But my finds indicate that immature spores of cirrhata are multiguttulate, and become mature 3-septate, but in ampullascia they have two large LBs all the time, and remain aseptate.
thanks for your help
Zotto

Re:Endoxyla - Ceratostomella
Hi Zotto,
Ceratostomella-like fungi have been recently revised by Martina Réblova (2006). She restricted Ceratostomella to species with pigmented ascospores. and placed C. cirrhosa in Lentomitella as Lentomitella cirrhosa (Pers. Fr.) Réblova, with C. vestita as synonym.
She did not retain C. ampullasca in Lentomitella, probably awaiting further studies.
I attach the pdf of her paper.
Hope it helps!
Best wishes,
jacques

Hi Jacques
o.k., but the download does not work. The previous pdfs I can download by double-click, but yours appears as being empty (only the first time I got an error).

J'ai compressé le travail de Reblova et je crois avoir réussi à l'insérer dans les Documentations.
It's uploaded on Ascofrance's Documentations.
