This minute asco was found on Alnus leave last week.
Spores 6 - 8,5 x 1,8 - 2,3, nearly without guttule.
Ascus with crozier, with a purple reaction with IKI.
Paraphyses cylindrical and not protruding.
Outside covered by brown hairs but white at margin. They are completely incrusted. no reaction with KOH.
I thought to a Fuscolachnum, but dit not find any species that matches.
Thank you,
Daniel

... could fit, please compare. I think this species grows on Salix and Populus leaves, but why not Alnus`(?)
Regards from Lothar
I will check that...
Best regards,
Daniel

In which country did you collect it?
So OK for Rubus !
For Cistella deflexa, the spores of my collection are a bit too narrow, and the purple reaction with IKI does not match. ;O(

Fuscolachnum misellum seems to fit quite well. It looks exactly like in Dougoud's paper : Quatre discales récoltées sur feuilles de Rubus fructicosus, en photographies et dessins.
And the collection in the book on the Biodiversity of Somedio is also similar.
It is shown with a purple reaction on the site Asco-Sonneberg.
Best regards,
Daniel
