Psilachnum chrysostigmum

Similar type I found on the stem of Dryopteris filix-mas, photo 3 and 4.
The size of the spores is the same, 5.55 x 1.55
Is it the same or not?

Re : Psilachnum chrysostigmum
There are two very close species or varieties, P. chrysostigmum var. versicolor on A. scolopendrium, and P. chrysostigmum var. chr. on various ferns but apparently never on A. scolopendrium.
The difference lies mainly in the guttules in the spores, but you need free living spores to see that.

Thanks Zotto, but this is the maximum of my microscope.

Re : Psilachnum chrysostigmum
Not a matter of resolution. The asci and spores of the left specimen are dead, those of the right are living. In the spores of the latter I can see that minute drops are at the ends of the spores. In the former I cannot decide.

Yes, the second preparation I did with water, as you have recommended.
