Nitschkia species ?
Ralph Vandiest, 04-03-2014 22:24
Ralph VandiestHello,

I found this species on fraxinus. Frb up to 1mm, spores 10/12x2µm, asci 60/100x6/7µm, 8-spored. 2 very small drops at each end of the spores.

Ps don't look at the colours of some microsocpic pics (it's due to mix of Melzer and coton blue)

regards,

Ralph

Re : Nitschkia species

Hi Ralph,

It's not a Nitschkia but a Diatrypaceae.

With a vertical cut, you will see immersed perithecia. On your photo, you only show the ostioles.

We have to take informations with a vertical section.

Hello Alain,

I tried to make a vertical cut (first time I tried this) but don't know exactly what to look at now. Attached some more pictures

regards,

Ralph
