Hi to all
Can you help me with this pyreno with roundish black and subsuperficial pseudothecia up to 0.3 mm on stems of Ammophila arenaria growing on coastal sand dunes?
The bitunicate asci are (4)-8 spored and the greenish ascospores seem to be smooth. Pseudoparaphyses are present.
I think this fungus could be in the genera Amphisphaeria or Didymosphaeria. What do you think?
Thanks again
rather Didymosphaeria because of the apparently distoseptate ascospores. You should first be sure that asci are bitunicate, which is not obvious from your photos.
Cheers,
Jacques
Thank you Jacques. I think the asci are not unitunicate altough my photos of them are not good.
Regards
