Sometimes you think you it, under the mic its something else.. I thought it was an ascobolus but clear spores. Then i thought cheilymenia but no hairs... Microscopic features: spores: 17.5 * 8-9, asci 118 long. Hymenium chains of cells. Parafysen wavy. On cowdung. What family?

Das ist ein unreifer Ascobolus.

Re : dung asco
Hi
Did you try Melzer or Lugo to check the amiloidity of the top of the asci?
Spores are really too much hyaline to fit Ascobolus, but who knows.

Hello.

Should actually check the reaction to Melzer before continuing; spores appear to be decorated, which departs from Ascobolus.?

Michel.
