C'est la première chose à vérifier. D'après Mycobank, le basionyme est Sordaria perplexans Cain 1934. MAIS, pour être tout à fait sûr, il faudrait vérifier si dans cette publication (Studies of Coprophilous Sphaeriales in Ontario) c'est bien cette épithète utilisée. Si tel est le cas, la combinaison Podospora perplexans est le nom à utiliser. Si par contre, c'est orthographié perplexens, je ne vois rien dans le Code de nomenclature (article 60) qui justifierait un changement.
