Re : Orbilia Tipo coccinella
If you take coccinella in the old sense (today it is a species with croissant-spores).
I think O. eucalypti, now the name for coccinella s. auct.
The spores are a bit narrow, I doubt 3 µm, rather 2 µm I guess.
You should be able to put a scale because you have always the same magnification.
The orange apos tell me that this drought-tolerant fungus grew light-exposed when the branch was still in the crown, is it possible?

Re : Orbilia Tipo coccinella
Hola Zotto

Re : Orbilia Tipo coccinella
o.k., I mean if you would photograph a calibration slide, then you could produce a scale for your 1000x photos and put it on some of the images. Then I can go and measure the spore size.
Without scale I can only guess. But I can see the length:width ratio, and when you say the spores reach 5.5 µm, then the width cannot be 3 µm, this is impossible.
I will illustrate:
See below, I made a scale by which the longest spore is 5.5 µm. Then I arrive at a spore size of 4.5-5.5 x 1.8-1.9 µm. Since you found also 4 µm long spores, the true scale length can only be longer, not shorter, and therefore the spores are max 1.9 or 2 µm wide.

Re : Orbilia Tipo coccinella
If you succeed, pease include a scale also to my photo, so that I can see how wrong mine was.
It was enlarged by exactly 200% to better enable measurements with the ruler.
This collection is not too banal, the spore l:w ratio is unusual. Did you keep a dried specimen? How abundant is it? Could you please send me the collection data?
