Good nightAnother species from dune environment. I am not capable to separate O. umbrina of O. grandis, O. olivacea and O. olivaceobrunnea. Could you help me?
Apos directly on sand of a north face dune with bryophytes, up to 10 cm tall. Slightly furfuraceous exterior.
Asci eight spores, IKI-, with croziers.
Spores type III (slightly fusiform), smooth, (12.6) 13.5 - 15.3 (15.8) x (6.0) 6.2 - 7.0 (7.4) µm
Q = (1.8) 2.0 - 2.3 (2.5); Me = 14.2 x 6.6 µm ; Qe = 2.2.
Paraphysis bent at tip, plenty of small brown guttules at top cell.
Ectal Excipulum of textura subglobosa-angularis.
Medullar Excipulum of textura intricata.
Thank you.

Hi Miguel Angel,
In my opinion, this is Otidea bufonia. Spore shape and size match well. To be sure, check if some hyphae of the medullary excipulum present an external brown pigment, looking like finger-prints.
Cheers.

Yes, it is. So O. bufonia is confirmed.
